Harmful substances in wastewater include organic matter, inorganic matter, heavy metals, etc. These substances will have an impact on the environment and human health. Therefore, in order to protect the environment and human health, wastewater needs to be monitored and treated. Among them, COD value is an important indicator in wastewater monitoring. COD is the abbreviation of Chemical Oxygen Demand, that is, chemical oxygen demand. It refers to the amount of chemical oxidant required to oxidize organic matter in wastewater to CO2 and H2O under certain conditions. The COD value is an important index to measure the content of organic matter in wastewater, which can reflect the pollution degree and treatment difficulty of wastewater. COD351 digital COD Sensor adopts the principle of ultraviolet absorption method, and uses the characteristics that ultraviolet rays are absorbed by organic substances at specific wavelengths to measure the content of organic substances in wastewater. This sensor is used with DUC2-Cod Controller, which can display the values of COD, TOC and BOD, and has 2 relays to realize the control function.
